Well known for it’s over the edge music, which is enhanced by an infamous light show every Friday and Saturday after midnight, there’s so much energy here that many people just move, grind, and dance everywhere. Ramrod’s logo defines the club as a “levi, leather, uniform bar ” but on any given night you’re bound to find musclebears, hunks, “butch” twinks / boys looking for daddys, and a mixture of anything and everything in between. Leather Contest in Chicago has had Ramrod sponsored contestants capturing the title twice, winning second runner up twice as well on the podium more than any other bar or organization. It was one of the first bars to jumpstart the north Fort Lauderdale / Wilton Manors gay district. The decor is dark and gritty” in its own unique way. Osteria Il Centro: This place has been one of the city's more romantic neighborhood trattorias since it opened in 1995.Hereford House: There are several locations of this classic steakhouse chain dotted around the city, but none are closer to the LGBTQ+ scene than its historic location in the Crossroads.Tourists will enjoy exploring the adorable neighborhood it's in, too. Michael Forbes Bar & Grille: This gay-owned and operated 63rd Street eatery is popular with the locals.Be sure to stop by for HamBINGO (a charity bingo hosted by Mary's best drag queens) on Wednesdays through Saturdays, or the very popular monthly beer busts. Hamburger Mary's: Everyone's favorite campy gay burger chain has an outpost in this Midwestern city.Uptown Arts Bar: Come for the cabaret, stay for the drinks and comradery.Not a typical tourist destination, but a good stop if you're doing a gay KC pub crawl.
